BAIL INFORMATION:
Bail may be posted at the facility at any time. Bail must be in CASH or CERTIFIED WESTERN UNION MONEY ORDER made out to the COLUMBIA COUNTY SHERIFF.
All Bonding must be arranged through a Bail Bondsman and the Court of Jurisdiction.
AS OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 AND BY COUNTY BOARD RESOLUTION, BAILS MAY BE POSTED BY USE OF A CREDIT CARD THROUGH GOVernment PAYment EXP. INFORMATION REQUIRED CAN BE OBTAINED AT THE JAIL. ACTUAL SECURE AND GUARANTEED CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ARE PROCESSED BY THE COMPANY WHO THEN NOTIFIES THE JAIL.
INCOMING PHONE CALLS:
No incoming phone calls will be allowed. An emergency call must be verified by Corrections Staff. Upon verification the incarcerated individual will be advised who to contact for further information.
Incoming legal calls are authorized at times not disruptive to facility activities such as head counts, lock downs, meal times, etc.
You may access the GTL website www.GTL.net or call 1-866-230-7761 to establish an account that will allow you to add money onto an incarcerated individual's phone account.
You can now deposit funds into an incarcerated individual's commissary account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A kiosk is now located in the lobby of the Public Safety Building and can accept cash or credit cards to deposit funds into an incarcerated individual's commissary account.
A Certified Bank Check or a Money Order will be accepted at the lobby window only on: Tuesdays (8:00-11:00 am), Fridays (6:00-9:00 pm) and Saturdays (12:30-3:00 pm).
Cash will not be accepted through the US Mail. A receipt will be issued to the person dropping off funds. The incarcerated individual will also receive a copy of the receipt.
Upon release from the facility incarcerated individual will be issued a check for the remaining balance of their account.

Incoming mail will be opened and inspected for contraband.
Mail should not have any lipstick, marker, glue or any other foreign substance.
No electronic or musical cards are allowed.
Any mail that is unauthorized will be returned to sender if unopened or if opened is placed in the incarcerated individual's property. Incarcerated individual's will not receive any mail that is considered facility contraband.
Any contraband will be subject to criminal investigation and charges.
