The Sheriff's Office has four dedicated and well respected members of the local clergy who volunteer their services as Chaplains; Reverend Ronald Grant, Deacon Warren Dorsch, Reverend Richard Turpin and Reverend Suzette E. Turpin.

Initiated in 2006 by Sheriff David Harrison, Jr., the Chaplaincy Program began with Reverent Grant and Deacon Dorsch and is the law enforcement link to religious organizations in our County, which ultimately assists the Chaplains to effectively and humanely deal with life situations, stressful times and routine criminal justice challenges.  The Chaplains may be called upon to assist and provide comfort to victims and their family or members of the Sheriff's Office and their family who have experienced a stressful and traumatic situation.

Also an important part of the program are, Reverend Suzette E. Turpin and Reverend Richard D. Turpin.  Both oversee the Inmate Ministries Program in our county jail.  The Inmate Ministries Program allows those incarcerated access to spiritual and other human services programs which reach beyond the jail cell.

Ale to provide spiritual and limited mental and emotional assistance, the Chaplains and their support team are an important resource for the Sheriff's Office.
