11 Arrested for DWI by Countywide DWI Enforcement
JULY 09, 2010
Greenport, NY – Columbia County Sheriff David Harrison, Jr. reports that as a result of a countywide DWI and
Aggressive Driving enforcement effort by all Law Enforcement agencies throughout Columbia County during the
4th of July weekend, 11 individuals were charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Lieutenant James Andrews of the Sheriff’s Office coordinated the enforcement effort with county police agencies
which included, the Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Village of Chatham, Stockport, Greenport,
Germantown, Copake, Village of Philmont and City of Hudson Police Departments.
As a result of the combined enforcement effort the following arrests were reported:
New York State Police:
John Davidson age 68 of Livingston, NY arrested by Trooper Brennan Keeler
Jonathan Schreiter age 26 of Westerlo, NY arrested by Trooper Howard Dorner
Belinda Bull age 69 of Hudson, NY arrested by Trooper Michael Patterson
Christine Christie age 42 of Mellenville, NY arrested by Trooper John Reppucci
Martin Holub age 79 of NY, NY arrested by Trooper Matthew Radewitz
Andrew Dannunzio age 34 of Kingston, NY arrested by Trooper Anthony Pellizza
Jonathan Warren age 29 of Taghkanic, NY arrested by Trooper Wayne Oles
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office:
George Proniske, 43 years old of Tucson Arizona and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a
Motor Vehicle with a BAC greater than .08%, Illegal Turn Signal, Failure to Stop at Sign and Failure to Keep
Right. Arrested by Deputy Sheriff’s Brendan Filli and Louis Bray on Main Street in the Village of Valatie -

Colleen O’Keefe 29 years old , Barry Court – Selkirk , NY charged with Driving While Intoxicate and Operating a
Motor Vehicle with a BAC greater than .08%. She was arrested July 3rd, 1:51am on White Mills Road Town of
Chatham by Deputy Sheriff’s Brendan Filli and Louis Bray.
Michael Rohlf’s, 19 years old of Route 203 Chatham, NY was arrested and charged with Driving While
Intoxicated, Operating Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Unsafe Lane Change on July 4th @ 2:
15am by Deputy Sheriff’s Brendan Filli and Kris Bauhoff on Route 295 in the Town of Chatham
The Village of Philmont Police Department arrested:
Kurt Cangelosi 27 years old from Hensonville, NY was arrested on Eagle St. Village of Philmont by Officers Harry
McMann and John Grant for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. He was also found to be in possession of Crack
Cocaine and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Driving While Ability Impaired
by Drugs at 12 midnight Saturday July 3rd.
Additionally, various other vehicle and traffic law tickets were issued by all of the agencies involved.
The Sheriff thanked all of the agencies involved for their participation and to their commitment to traffic safety in
Columbia County.
