SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATES BODY FOUND IN COPAKE

Copake, NY - Columbia County Sheriff David Harrison, Jr. reports that Uniformed Deputy Sheriff’s and Sheriff’s
Investigators are investigating the recovery of a body that was found today on county route 7A in the Town of
Copake. Deputy Sheriff’s were assigned by County 911 to respond to the scene at 11:24am this morning after the
body was found. Although it is currently unknown as to the length of time the body had been in this location, it
appears as though it has been there for some time. Sheriff Harrison said there is no additional information
available at this time however members of the Sheriff’s Office are remaining on the scene and are continuing the
investigation.
