                              MORE CHARGES FOR BURGLAR

Greenport, NY – Columbia County Sheriff David W. Harrison, Jr. reports that the Sheriff’s Office Criminal
Investigation Branch has solved several burglaries and a grand larceny that began June 22nd.  Working with
Greene County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Richard Selner, Investigators from both Sheriff’s Offices followed up
on evidence gathered by Sheriff’s Office evidence technicians at the crime scenes in Catskill, Claverack and
Ghent.

As a result of the joint investigation by Columbia and Greene County Sheriff’s Investigators,  Anthony Traficante,
39 years old of Day Road, Stockport, NY was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, September
30th and charged with a burglary committed in the Town of Catskill.  He is currently in the Greene County Jail.  
Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have lodged an arrest warrant for Grand Larceny, two counts of
Burglary 3rd degree and other charges.

While being interviewed by Investigators from the Greene County and Columbia County Sheriff’s Offices,  NYSP
BCI, Livingston and Detectives from the Hudson Police Department, Traficante also made admissions to other
burglaries he committed to businesses in Hudson and Livingston, NY.  Charges are also pending from those
agencies.
