MORE DRUG DEALERS ARRESTED
SEPTEMBER 11, 2008
Columbia County, NY Sheriff David W. Harrison Jr. reports the arrest of three individuals for dealing and
possessing illegal narcotics in various locations in Columbia County. These arrests are in addition to the seven
individuals previously arrested August 5th and are the result of a sixth month investigation by the Sheriff’s Office
Drug Enforcement & Education Unit.
Assisting with these arrests were members of the Village of Catskill Police Department and New York State Police
in Cortland.
Those arrested are:
Jerome Nesbit - 28 years old of 7th Avenue, Troy, NY and charged with 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled
Substance 3rd degree – Class B Felonies and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th
degree – class A Misdemeanors;
Curtis Mackey – 26 years old of North 2nd Street, Hudson, NY, charged with 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a
Controlled Substance 3rd degree and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
An 18 year old female from Hudson, NY for 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and 3
counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
The arrests were made by Sheriff’s Investigators and Uniformed Deputy Sheriffs.
The individuals arrested are considered medium level drug dealers in Columbia County and were taken into
custody pursuant to warrants issued by Columbia County Court Judge Jonathan Nichols.
All three were remanded to the county jail without bail pending further court proceedings.
