                                              PUPPY THIEVES ARRESTED
                                                                        November 3, 2007

Claverack, NY                 Sheriff David Harrison, Jr. reports that two individuals have been arrested and charged
with the unlawful entry and theft of four Pit Bull puppies from the Columbia Greene Humane Society in Claverack,
NY, on October 25th, 2007.

Soon after the break-in and theft were discovered by Humane Society officials, Deputy Sheriff Brendan Filli and
Sheriff’s Investigator John Rivero began an investigation which included working with Humane Society officials in
disseminating information to the public and other law enforcement agencies.  This resulted in the first puppy being
recovered within four days, when it was observed by Hudson Police Officers Chris Filli and Sergeant Corey
Skype.  Later that same evening, Sgt William Zincio recovered a second puppy in Philmont and a third puppy was
recovered the next morning by the Coeymans Police Department after a television news story was seen by a
resident in that area.  By Tuesday evening, the perpetrators were located and subsequently made admissions to
the entry and theft.  Both cooperated with Sheriff’s Investigators and were able to recover the fourth puppy which
is believed to have been sent to New York City.  All of the puppies recovered had been sold or arranged for sale
by the perpetrators for $100.

Arrested on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 3:10PM by Deputy Sheriff Filli and Investigator Rivero are Delory G.
Williams, Jr., 21 YOA of Columbia St,  Hudson, NY and Ethlyn G. Rhymaun, 30 YOA of Main St., Troy, NY.  Both
were charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (D Felony) and Petit Larceny (A Misdemeanor).  They were arraigned
before Claverack Town Judge the Hon. Michael Brandon and Released on their Own Recognizance, to appear in
Claverack Court on November 13, 2007.

Sheriff Harrison said that it was the cooperation and determination of Ron Perez, other Humane Society people,
Deputy Sheriff Filli, Sheriff’s Investigator John Rivero assisted by Investigators Mark Dunspaugh and Anthony
Brahm and the media which lead to the recovery of the puppies.  He added that the puppies can have a value of
up to $2,500 if sold privately, but that, “its obvious when looking at them, there is no monetary amount that
matches the value of these puppies having good homes with loving families.”

At this time it is unknown if each of the people who had purchased the puppies had knowledge that they were
stolen, however the investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
