                                 LARGE SNAKE FOUND

Kinderhook, NY
     Sheriff David Harrison, Jr. reports that on Friday evening, September 7, 2007, at about
10:00PM, his Office was called to NYS Rte 9 Niverville, in the Town of Kinderhook, to meet with an individual
who had located a large Snake in that area.  Upon arriving, Resident Deputy Sheriff Louis Bray found an
eight foot, (8’), believed to be a Boa Constrictor, which was stuck in a fence.  

      The Department of Environmental Conservation Police were requested to the scene and Officer Jeff Cox
responded and secured the snake.  At this time it is unknown who the snake belongs to.  

      Sheriff Harrison is asking that anyone who may have information about the snake or its owner, to contact
the Sheriff’s Office or Encon Officer Cox.
